Nafplio. Peloponnese. Greece. View of the 16th century former domed mosque of Aga-Pasha in syntagma square in the centre of the old Venetian town of Nafplion. It is now used by the Municipal Theatre of Nafplio and for art exhibitions. One of the most attractive towns in Greece, Nafplio is a maze of medieval narrow paved streets, a harbor lined with palm trees and imposing fortresses. From 1829 to 1334, the town was the first capital of liberated Greece.
