Leptis Magna. Libya. View along an ancient Roman street to the restored four way Arch of Septimius Severus. The Arch was built hastily in AD 203 to commemorate the visit of the Roman Emperor and his family back to his native city. The site of Leptis Magna is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most spectacular and unspoiled Roman ruins in the Mediterranean.
