Interesting fact about the west and east banks of the entire Egyptian Nile is that on the eastern bank of the Nile, the side of the rising sun, the side of life, the kings built up their temples. The western side, the side of sunset, belonged to the dead and tombs such as the Pyramids and the Valley of the Kings.
The West Bank sights are Unesco World Heritage listed as part of the Ancient Thebes with its Necropolis listing.
