Samos is Greece's eighth largest island and it belongs to the North-eastern Aegean group of Greek islands. Situated only 1200 metres from the shores of Turkey and Asia Minor Samos is blessed with stunning lush, green and mountainous landscapes. Samos is also historically rich and has UNESCO World Heritage listed sites and it is also the birthplace the famous mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras and the great ancient astronomer Aristarchus.
